PNM provides a range of incentives for commercial customers to increase the efficiency existing facilities. Eligible equipment includes energy efficient lighting, HVAC, refrigeration, and motors, among others. The incentives vary based on the equipment. Customers may also receive incentives for custom efficiency measures not included in the prescriptive program. Custom incentives are worth $0.08 per kilowatt hour (kWh)
Small to medium sized businesses (maximum monthly peak demand of 200 kW per meter) can also enroll in the PNM Quick Saver program. A participating PNM Quick Saver contractor does an onsite energy assessment to identify energy-saving opportunities and presents a proposal to the customer. If the customer approves the proposal, the contractor files the necessary paperwork with PNM and installs the new equipment. On average, PNM pays 65% or more of the project costs directly to the contractor, and the customer pays the balance.
