South Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation (RECC) provides service to more than 60,000 customers in southeastern Kentucky. To promote energy efficiency to residential customers, South Kentucky RECC offers a variety of rebates and cash incentives.
The Button-Up Program provides up to $400 for any improvement a customer makes to the insulation and other weatherization measures in participating residences. The incentive payment will be $20 for every 1,000 BTUs the home's heating load is lowered. South Kentucky RECC will conduct a heat loss calculation before and after you make improvements as recommended by the company's energy advisors. To qualify for this rebate, customers' homes must be at least five years old and use electricity as the primary heat source.
The Touchstone Energy Home Program provides incentives for making the heating and cooling of a new home more efficient.
South Kentucky RECC also offers prescriptive rebates on high efficiency products.
