Georgia Power provides rebates to its residential customers for implementing and installing qualifying energy savings improvements. Customer can participate through the Whole House Approach, which promotes a holistic method of reducing electricity use through the installation of multiple prescriptive improvements. Single Family and Multifamily Individual Improvements projects are also eligible for rebates. The maximum rebate for the Whole House Approach is $1150, and the maximum rebate for individual improvements is $600 per year for Single Family and $300 per year per unit for Multifamily. Rebate levels differ between Single Family residential units and Multifamily residential units. 

For Whole House rebate consideration, a Home Energy Assessment must be performed by a qualified Program Contractor, and recommended improvements must be completed by a qualified contractor. The contractor will charge a fee for the Home Energy Assessment. Rebate eligibility for installed improvements depends on test-out Home Energy Assessment results. 

The Residential HVAC Service Program also provides rebates of up to $50 per unit on efficiency improvements of existing residential HVAC equipments. Georgia Power’s Energy Assessment & Solutions Program (EASP) assists income-eligible customers with energy savings through education and free home-efficiency improvements on technologies including air sealing, attic insulation, water heater insulation jackets, pipe wrapping, HVAC assessment, LED light bulbs, and smart programmable thermostats.
