STi Norland to install trackers in 36 MW PV plant in Brazil

Spanish company STI Norland will install 202 solar trackers of its STI H1250 model at »Assú V Solar Power Plant« in the region of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. Execution works began in March. The facility will occupy an area of 72 hectares with a capacity of 36.7 MW. According to the company, the installation of this plant is part of the ambitious project to be developed in the region with the construction of a total of 5 solar energy parks.

The project approved in government bid of November 2015. During the execution of the work it is foreseen the creation of 400 direct jobs in which local labor will be given preference as a form of economic impulse to the zone. For STI Norland, with local presence in the market since 2015, this project is the second in Brazil.

In May, the company announced to deliver trackers to Mexico to be installed in the 136 MW Hermosillo photovoltaic plant in the state of Sonora, and 231 MW to be installed in the state of San Luis de Potosí. With headquarters in Spain, STI Norland fully owns subsidiaries in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Israel, South Africa and the United States serving the European, American, Middle East, and African markets.
