JinkoSolar and LONGi set a New World Record!

JinkoSolar announced that the maximum conversion efficiency of its bifacial solar panels reached 22.49%. The new achievement broke the previous world record and a new industry standard for the efficiency of mass-produced solar cells. The results were verified during testing that was conducted by TUV Rheinland.

Longi’s bifacial solar cells reached a 24.06% efficiency and Trina’s have reached 24.58%. But Jinko’s 22.49% record is based on mass-produced full solar panels.

By applying the newly developed ARC and advanced metallization technologies and proven proprietary technologies to high-efficient solar cell design, Jinko was able to vastly improve the efficiency of its mass-produced solar panels.

The Vice President of JinkoSolar, Dr. Hin Hao Stated; “We are committed to providing high-quality modules that will efficiently and reliably operate under the toughest conditions. This new world record will pave the way for a new round of technological and industry upgrades in module efficiency with JinkoSolar leading the way.”

Chinese solar manufacturer Longi has claimed to set a world record for monocrystalline PREC solar panel efficiency, at 22.38%. The number overhauls the previous record of 21.65% that was set by Longi last month. The results were confirmed by German testing and certification TUV Rheinland.

The solar company said, “Longi has continuously pushed the module efficiency limits of our high-performance monocrystalline products to further improve the price-performance ratio. This breakthrough once again confirms the development headroom of monocrystalline module technology.”
