Soltec, a single-axis solar tracker manufacturer present in all leading global PV markets, has today announced it is to supply the 101 MW Floresta solar PV plant being built in Brazil’s Rio Grande do Norte with its SF Utility tracker.
The Floresta PV plant is being built by French EPC Solairedirect-ENGIE, and is located in the municipality of Areia Branca.
In order to meet FINAME domestic content requirements, Soltec is to supply its tracker equipment locally via its Brazilian supply chain.
“We are embracing the creation of a strong local supply chain for the solar industry,” said Soltec Brazil country manager Carlos Mena. “We rely on local facilities and a strong local team to best assure project success.”
Including this latest deal, Soltec now has 551 MW of solar trackers installed or soon-to-be installed in Brazil, augmenting the firm’s position as market leader in the Brazilian solar tracking space. Across the Americas, Soltec has more than 1.4 GW of solar trackers installed.
Company CEO Raúl Morales expressed his pride that Soltec has now added Solairedirect – a subsidy of energy giant ENGIE group – to its list of global top-tier customers.
