Trump's Solar Tariff Is Not Terrific For Solar Panel Installations

This June, Reuters has $2.5 billion in solar installation projects have been canceled since the President Donald Trumps tariffs of solar panel equipment was finalized. 

Over the last decade, the solar panel energy market in the United States was scorching.  Due to the Solar Investment Tax Credit enacted in 2006, the solar market witnessed an average annual growth of 68 percent in the last 10 years.  However, based on a wave of cancellations stemming from Trump's solar tariff, solar industry moguls are wary of the market in the short-term.

Since 2016, the combined volume of American solar energy exceeded 40 gigawatts, a sufficient amount of energy to power 6.5 million households. Approximately 374,000 people held solar positions in the labor force as of 2016. Also notable,  according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the solar panel installation industry has been the fastest-growing occupation in the U.S.
