Canadian Solar will co-develop 1.14 GW solar projects in Australia

Canadian Solar Inc. has entered into an agreement with Dutch solar power solutions and services company Photon Energy NV to co-develop five utility-scale solar power projects, with a total capacity of 1.14 GW in New South Wales, Australia. According to the company, Canadian Solar will acquire a 51 percent shareholding in each of Photon Energy's five project companies in Australia. The portfolio of projects includes the 316 MW project in Gunning as well as four projects co-developed by Photon Energy with Polpo Investment, namely the 178 MW project in Mumbil, the 165 MW project in Gunnedah, the 286 MW project in Suntop and the 196 MW project in Maryvale.
