Chinese Jinko Solar Holding Co., Ltd. announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Jinko Solar (U.S.) Inc. has signed a major master solar module supply agreement with an unnamed company to provide around 1.75 GW of high efficiency solar modules over approximately three years.
Concurrently, the company's Board of Directors has authorized Jinko Solar to finalize planning for the construction of an advanced solar manufacturing facility in the USA. According to local newspaper »Jacksonville Daily Record«, the factory could be built in Jacksonville, Florida. The article published earlier this month says, investment for a project called »Project Volt« will be about $410 million and 800 to 1.000 jobs could be created. The project is seeking $54 million of incentives from the city and state.
