The Solar Cells Laboratory of the Calibration and Test Center (CalTeC) at the German Institute for Solar Energy Research (ISFH) is now on the list of »designated test centres« that confirms solar cell efficiency world-records for the »Solar cell efficiency tables.« The efficiency tables published in the international journal »Progress in Photovoltaics« list the currently highest independently confirmed efficiencies for solar cells and modules every six months.
According to ISFH, the »Solar cell efficiency tables« are one of the most important references for the technological development of solar cells. »The inclusion of the ISFH-CalTeC Solar Cells Laboratory in the list of recognized test centres follows the accreditation for the calibration of solar cells according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) in 2016.« The accreditation covers the measurement of the spectral responsivity (SR) and the determination of the characteristic solar cell parameters (Isc, Voc, FF and ?) of the current-voltage curve (IV-curve) of solar cells under standard test conditions as defined in the IEC60904 standards.
