US-based equipment supplier Intevac Inc. reported net income for the third quarter of $1.2 million, compared to a net loss of $481,000 in the third quarter of 2016. Revenues were $26.7 million, including $17.2 million of Thin-film Equipment revenues and Photonics revenues of $9.5 million. In the same period of the previous year, revenues were $22.6 million.
Order backlog totaled $72.8 million on September 30, 2017, compared to $68.9 million on July 1, 2017 and $72.9 million on October 1, 2016. The company ended the quarter with $44.8 million of total cash, restricted cash and investments and $79.8 million in tangible book value.
Regarding the first nine months 2017, net income was $4.2 million, compared to a net loss of $10.3 million for the first nine months of 2016. Revenues were $88.1 million ($51.1 million).
