GE Energy Connections, a subsidiary of US energy and technology company General Electric (GE) will supply 140 MW of inverters to French solar developer Solairedirect, a subsidiary of international utility Engie SA. The LV5 1-MW solar inverters from GE Energy Connections are going to be installed in two solar power plants developed by Solairedirect India with 70-MW capacity each. In addition, the two companies agreed on a 25-year, long-term service agreement including the provision of parts when needed and the required man-hours for repairs and maintenance for these two plants.

GE did not provide any details on the two projects. In January 2016, Solairedirect had won contracts for two power plants located at two sites of 70 MW each in the State of Rajasthan.
