A bid by Georgia’s solar industry to expand a 2015 law letting property owners finance the installation of solar panels has been sunk by opposition from utilities. As the annual Crossover Day fell March 3, the deadline for legislation to make it through either the state House of Representatives or Senate to remain alive, the solar bill remained stuck in a House subcommittee. Because of the lack of progress, supporters will have to wait until next year to push the measure.
