Germany-based technical and certification services provider TUV Rheinland is investing €2.5 million in the expansion of its site in Bangalore, India, where it has built a 14,000-square-meter building complex with a workforce of around 300 employees. The laboratory centre includes a laboratory for testing the electrical safety of products and components, a battery testing laboratory as well as facilities for monitoring the reliability and safety of photovoltaic systems.
TUV Rheinland has been active in India since 1996 and today has around one hundred branches and offices throughout the country. According to the company, the Bangalore site is equipped with the latest technologies and innovations, including solar modules for self-powered power supply.
