Longi Green Energy Technology Co., Chinese manufacturer of monocrystalline ingots, wafers and modules, achieved sales of 6.276 billion Renminbi Yuan ($0.96 billion) in the first half of 2017. The profit amounted to 1.236 billion Yuan ($0.19 billion), an increase of about 44 percent over the same period last year.
According to the company, »demand for monocrystalline products remained robust« and its market share had increased further. Deliveries of monocrystalline modules to the Chinese market exceeded two gigawatts (GW), more than three times higher than in the same period last year.
Longi now wants to accelerate its expansion plans. The factories for monocrystalline ingots in Yinchuan (capacity 5 GW) and Ningxia (1 GW) are in the optimization phase. The Kuching production facility is to go into full production in the fourth quarter of 2017 (capacity of ingots 300 MW, monocrystalline wafers 1 GW, monocrystalline cells 500 MW, monocrystalline modules 500 MW). Other locations are Baoshan (monocrystalline ingots, 5 GW) and Xi' an (modules 500 MW).
