Sunrun last month said it has reached an agreement with Comcast for the solar and storage company to be the exclusive solar provider for Comcast Cable.
Comcast will serve as one of Sunrun’s strategic partners through marketing campaigns in selected markets.
Sunrun CEO Lynn Jurich said in a statement that Sunrun’s “challenge is making homeowners aware that they can save money with solar today.”
“We are excited to work with Comcast to help their customers go solar and save on their electric bills while reducing their dependence on fossil fuels,” Jurich said.
Sunrun said that making smart solar energy and storage solutions available to consumers complements Comcast’s efforts to offer smart home services.
Comcast will market Sunrun’s rooftop solar services to selected customers starting later this year.
