German inverter manufacturer SMA Solar Technology AG secures operations and maintenance contracts for two large-scale PV power plants in Chile. The capacity of the two PV plants of the operator Atlas Renewable Energy totals 180 MW. The PV power plant »Javiera«, totaling almost 70 MW, is located in the Atacama region in the north of Chile. The second site is »Quilapilun«, a 110 MW project located near the capital Santiago. According to the company, SMA Service currently has more than 2.5 GW of solar assets under O&M agreements, which are monitored from SMA’s Solar Monitoring Centers located in Ulm, Germany and California, USA.
