US-based CIGS module manufacturer Ascent Solar Technologies Inc posted net revenue of $25,000 for Q2 2017 (Q2 2016: $255,000). The net loss for the quarter narrowed to $4.72 million, a sharp improvement of about 57 percent from loss of $11.17 million in corresponding quarter in 2016.
Regarding the six month ended June 30, the company achieved revenue of $305,000 compared to $965,000 in H1 2016. Loss was $10.3 million (H1 2016: $21.7 million).
As noted in a previous announcement, the company will be limiting its consumer business going forward to only e-commerce platform, OEM and private labeling model, and instead focus more on the specialty PV market such as defense, drones, aerospace and satellite markets.
