Phoenix Solar: First project in Australia

solarserverAugust 3, 2017166

The Singapore-based subsidiary of Phoenix Solar AG was commissioned to plan a photovoltaic power plant with a nominal output of 39.5 MWp near Perth, Western Australia.

Partner of the joint venture WBHO will oversee the construction of the three construction phases. WBHO is a construction company with AUD 2 billion annual turnover.

The solar technology in the power plant consists, e.g. 1.500 volt technology, single axis tracking systems and monocrystalline PERC modules.

The project was developed and operated by WestGen, which operates a number of renewable energy projects in West Australia. The electricity produced with the new plant is used in the context of a power take-off agreement from Kleenheat, a West-Australian energy provider that is increasingly turning to green electricity.
