IBC Solar has announced plans to expand its portfolio to include high-performance crystalline silicon modules, to be supplied by leading Chinese manufacturer GCL SI. IBC expects to receive 60 MW of modules to IBC’s system house in Upper Franconia, Germany by the end of the year, and states that the cooperation will continue as a long term partnership.
While IBC Solar has a wide international presence itself and through subsidiaries, having switched on projects in India, Japan and Turkey already in 2017, the modules are intended for installations within Europe, and are produced at GCL’s Vietnam production facility.
