The Pollution Solution

The earth is warming and scientists have isolated the causes. Clearly, man’s activities are the direct cause due to the burning of fossil fuels. Global temperature has risen significantly over the years. The atmosphere is further being polluted by methane gas released from melting ice caps. This causes unstable weather events around the planet. But global warming also contributes to the proliferation of catastrophic wildfires all over the planet.

Not a doomsday situation if we act now

The facts paint a very disturbing picture. Creative solutions are in the works to combat global warming, but many scientists already believe we are too late. Those espousing nuclear power tell us nuclear power doesn’t produce greenhouse gases. However, there is no safe way to store the wastes and horrific accidents such as Fukushima and Chernobyl have continued to occur.  Radiation does not dissipate for thousands of years. Solar power is clearly the best solution. Solar radiation is at a  peak, so we can reap power from the sun using solar panel systems. These range from home systems to larger scale systems powering entire cities.

Wind power is increasingly seen as an excellent power solution. By building wind turbines to harvest natural wind energy, electricity is generated. Wind turbine power and solar power are both powerful forces against fossil fuel power and radioactive energy. Convincing existing power companies will prove to be more challenging. They want to stay with nuclear power plants because they actually can’t be removed. It has become the crusade of many individuals and small corporations to make the switch to renewable energy

Electromagnetic radiation (ER) reduction. When manufacturers of computers and electronic devices realized the potential for huge ER emissions directly into the eyes and brains of users, they started to implement hardware systems to minimize risks and reduce ER production. 

Gas emission pollution is being alleviated in a variety of ways with car emission control, electric and hybrid vehicles and public transportation.. Not all major cities have decent public transportation in place, but researchers are working on this issue constantly and we have managed to reduce emissions significantly over the last decade. There is much catching up to do.
