Scientists and researchers have been reporting about the threats of global warming for many years and the prophecies have already come true. In fact, many climate experts say that melting polar ice caps and glacier reduction is occurring faster than they expected. Climate change is now so obvious that lawmakers around the world are struggling for solutions. Without introducing solar technology, our world is doomed to a severe period of premature deaths and suffering. There are a plethora of reasons to switch to clean energy. Reducing fossil fuel dependence, strengthening energy security, generating sustainable jobs, and breathing air top the list. But for many financial considerations are paramount. Fortunately, solar panel prices continue to fall, even in spite of American tariffs inflicted by the lame-brained Trump administration. The world is in urgent need of coherent energy policies to begin this transition and maximize the benefits to our environment and economy.
In order to avoid the most damaging consequences of global warming, ranging from extreme heat, droughts, and storms to acidifying oceans and rising sea levels, the United States must play a vital role. It is critically important to cut heat-trapping emissions today, and solar energy is the soundest way to achieve this goal. But energy efficiency and conscious living are important considerations as well.
Global warming poses a grave risk to our planet fossil fuel generation by man is the chief offender in the search for causes. To avoid the worst consequences, we must keep the global average temperature from increasing more than two degrees from today’s levels. To meet this goal, the United States must curtail its emissions at least 80 percent from 2005 levels by 2050, and keep its emissions from 2000 to 2050 at 160–265 gigatons CO2 equivalent (Luers et al. 2007). An intelligently formed a cap-and-trade program that sets a declining limit on heat-trapping emissions while charging polluters for their emissions is the central part of a comprehensive approach to addressing climate change. The country will also need to pursue other clean energy ideas, including sector-based policies that encourage energy efficiency, the use of renewable energy, and better transportation and fuels. Investments in reducing emissions in other nations are also required, such as funding for protection of tropical forests and use of renewable technologies in developing countries.
There has never been a better time to install a solar energy system! There is no longer many options since fossil fuels are almost gone. Our long-term ignorance of solar power has harmed our environment and our country's financial future. The costs associated with fossil fuel combustion are staggering. We desperately need millions of home and business owners to install solar so that we get gradually more people away from fossil fuels. Fortunately, solar panel prices remain low and in conjunction with rebates and other incentives, installing solar is an extremely attractive financial investment. For some, it's a very poor decision to omit solar from their energy options. That's because solar will likely eliminate your electric bill and the payback period for your investment is only a few years. Once the system is paid for, you will be generating your own power, free from the interference of the electric grid. While others suffer during power outages, you may be able to continue on as usual, without being affected. But you will also rest easier knowing you are doing your part to reduce the horrors of climate change.
