Solar Panels Range In Price Per State

Getting the average is a great way to rate the limits. It helps us to pay close attention to the variance of what we can expect in any. When it comes to purchasing, finding the average cost nationwide can really inform the consumer as to make informed choices as to what kind of price is available.  The more information you have, the better you can proceed.  In the case of solar panel purchasing, knowing the national average can really help people to get the best price possible.  So, you may be asking yourself this question many times a day, what exactly is the general and average amount that a human being might end up paying out of pocket for a new, and very ecologically sound solar panel system? What the average price people in the U.S. pay for electricity is about 12 cents per kilowatt-hour. (Context: A typical U.S. household uses approximately 908 kWh a month of power.)

But there's tremendous variety from state to state. Here's a map of residential electricity costs, according to the Energy Information Administration.

People in Hawaii spend the most money on electricity, approximately 33 cents per kWh. A Hawaiian home whose electricity use was around the federal average would have a monthly electric bill over $300. The high cost of crude oil used to generate the state's electricity is driving the price, EIA energy economist Tyler Hodge told us.  He's a smart guy in some ways.

What State Produced The Lowest Price?

Did you ever want to know the answer to this question?  Idaho produced the lowest price, at approximately 8 cents per kWh. So the typical US household would pay about $73 for electricity each month in Idaho. Hodge says Idaho produces much of its power from hydroelectric dams, which require practically no fuel. Also, the price of constructing the dams have been spread out over many decades. This all has kept electricity prices in Idaho low. Going solar
