Climate scientists are busy discovering the depth of climate change. What they are discovering is truly alarming and they are warning us of severe consequences from the unchecked burning of fossil fuels. The scale of global warming can be overwhelming. Many are asking the valid question: What can one person do on their own to reverse climate change? There are lifestyle changes you can make that can help reduce your carbon impact. You may already be doing some of these things. But implementing just a few of them could make a difference.
The first challenge is reducing the burning of coal, oil and, natural gas. The natural gas industry likes to pretend that natural gas is not a fossil fuel, but in fact, it is little different than other fossil fuels. Reducing fuel consumption means accelerating gradually and braking gradually when driving our cars. It means consolidating trips when possible and keeping our cars tuned up so they do not waste fuel.
The way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions is simply to buy less. Cutting back on consumption results in fewer fossil fuels being burned to extract, create and ship products around the globe. Think green when considering making purchases. For example, when purchasing a new car, buy one that will last the longest and have the least impact on the environment.
When purchasing groceries, buying in bulk can reduce the amount of packaging such as plastic wrapping, cardboard boxes, and other unnecessary materials.
Car maintenance, such as making sure tires are properly inflated and properly tuned, can limit the amount of noxious emissions from a vehicle and lower the frequency of trips to the gas pump. Similarly, utilizing more efficient refrigerators, air conditioners and other appliances, such as those rated highly under the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star program, can cut electric bills while weatherproofing the windows of a home can reduce heating and cooling bills.
Food grown in the U.S. requires oil for the fertilizer to grow it and the diesel fuel to harvest and transport it. Some grocery stores stock organic produce that does not use such fertilizers, but it is often shipped from far away. The production of meat, whether beef, chicken or pork, requires pounds of feed to produce a pound of protein. Choosing to eat protein from vegetable sources is a choice that makes a small difference, but if enough people do the same thing, the cumulative value of the effort is multiplied.

Good article. This is just part of the Global Emergency "It is a global emergency on a scale you have not yet realized. It has the power to destroy human civilization. It has the power to generate intervention from beyond. It has the power to create chaos here at a level never seen before." https://www.newmessage.org/the-message/volume-1/new-world/the-global-emergency
